What OpenDecision is

OpenDecision is a free platform for choosing project and portfolio management software. You describe what you actually need, weight the things that matter most, and it ranks 132 products against those requirements rather than against a generic scoreboard. No account is required to start.

How it works

Ask a question in plain language, the way you would ask a colleague. Scout turns it into a set of weighted requirements you can see and adjust, then matches them against the catalog. You get an ordered shortlist with the reasoning attached, not a ranking you have to take on trust.

Where the pricing comes from

Every price is read from the vendor's own page and stored with the URL it came from and the date it was read. Nothing is estimated and nothing is filled in from memory. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so instead of guessing, and where a plan is billed annually rather than monthly we keep those as separate facts, because they are.

What it does not do

No vendor can pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be left out. There are no sponsored placements and no affiliate-driven ordering. OpenDecision does not currently publish feature-by-feature scores or user reviews, because it does not have that data, and a plausible-looking number is worse than an absent one.

Any general ranking assumes everyone weights the same things. Yours almost certainly does not, which is the whole reason to state your own requirements.
